Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I go for therapy?
I provide telehealth sessions across the state of Ohio, so you can do the session in the comfort of your home. No need to drive anywhere!
What are your hours?
Monday and Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
How long are the sessions?
Sessions typically last about 50 minutes.
For working through certain issues, there’s an option to extend your session time to two hours.
Do you take insurance?
Yes! I accept Anthem, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Medical Mutual, and Cigna.
You’re also welcome to self-pay (out of pocket without insurance).
What is your cancellation policy?
I understand that life happens and schedules change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed appointments without notice (no-shows) will be subject to a cancellation fee.
This policy allows us to offer your time slot to other clients who may be waiting for an appointment.

What modalities do you use?
I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered, and reality therapy for individuals.
For couples, I use the Gottman Method.
What age ranges do you work with?
I work with adults (18 and up).
Do you work with women? Men? Couples?
Yes, yes, and yes! I work with men and women, both individually and as couples.
How often do I have to come?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions, which helps build momentum and create a strong foundation for growth.
As you make progress, we’ll gradually space sessions out – moving to every other week, then every three to four weeks, etc. – until you feel confident and ready to continue on your own.
The pace is always personalized based on your needs, goals, and comfort level. We’ll figure it out together.
How long have you been counseling?
I’ve been counseling for over 20 years, and I still feel incredibly grateful every day.
It’s a true privilege to walk alongside my clients as they grow, heal, and step into their best selves. Being part of that journey never gets old; it’s what keeps me inspired and deeply connected to this work.
Do you use the interventions you give to your clients?
Absolutely! I wholeheartedly believe in the work I do. It’s not just theory to me: it’s real, practical, and powerful.
I personally use many of the same tools and techniques I share with my clients – especially the Gottman Method, which has made a meaningful difference in my marriage.
Are my therapy sessions confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is incredibly important. Everything we talk about in session is confidential and protected by law.
There are a few rare exceptions where I may be required to break confidentiality, such as:
- If there is a risk of serious harm to you or someone else
- If there is suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or vulnerable adult
- If a court subpoenas records
If any of these situations ever arise, I’ll do my best to talk with you first. Your trust matters, and I’m committed to creating a space where you feel safe and respected.
