EMDR

You’re carrying a heavy weight.

Memories that pop up uninvited.

Feelings that overwhelm you.

A sense of being trapped in the past.

Well, you don’t have to carry it alone – and there is a path forward.

It’s called EMDR.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) helps you heal – WITHOUT reliving the pain you’ve been through.

EMDR helps your brain process those memories differently – so they lose their emotional charge and stop controlling your life.

You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. Just begin.

Your safety and comfort are paramount.

We’ll move at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Always.

Before we start, we’ll build a strong foundation together:

  • Learn coping skills that help you stay grounded when emotions rise.
  • Practice techniques to feel steady, supported, and in control.
  • Create safety first – because healing works best when you feel secure.

Then, we’ll start our EMDR sessions.

When you arrive, we begin with a brief check-in to ensure you feel present and centered.

Then, we gently:

  • Identify a memory or image connected to what you’re feeling now.
  • Use bilateral stimulation to help your brain naturally reprocess that memory.
  • Notice new insights, shifts in emotions, or even physical sensations.

I’ll be with you every step of the way – checking in, slowing down, or pausing if needed – so you always feel safe and in control.

Each session closes with calming techniques, leaving you feeling supported and grounded.

Sessions feel emotional and illuminating.

Some people leave a session feeling lighter; others feel waves of emotion. Both are okay. This is deep work, and it takes courage.

After a session, you may feel tired or overwhelmed, but often there’s also a sense of relief – a feeling that you’ve moved an important step forward.

Over time, memories or triggers that once felt unbearable become more manageable, even neutral.

Change often shows up early, but your brain decides when.

Take a brave step toward freedom.

You can feel lighter.

More in control.

Free from the grip of past trauma.

You don’t have to do this alone.
