About Lori Klaus, LPCC-S, CDCA

Hi, I’m Lori.

I’m someone who genuinely finds joy in watching people grow into who they’re meant to be.

I believe in the power of connection, the importance of safety, and the resilience that comes alive when people are finally given room to breathe.

Being invited into a person’s life – or a couple’s, or a family’s – is a privilege I don’t take for granted. Every story matters. Every step forward counts.

One of my specialties is marriage counseling.

It’s a passion shaped in part by my own life.

When my spouse and I committed to using the Gottman Method tools I’d been trained in, the shifts in our connection were profound.

That experience didn’t just change our relationship – it strengthened my belief in what’s possible for couples when they have the right support.

A little about my training…

I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (LPCC-S) – licensed to practice in Ohio.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology (2004) and my master’s degree in mental health counseling (2006) from Wright State University.

Over the years, I’ve continued my professional development through specialized training in the Gottman Method, mindfulness, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), all of which shape my holistic, grounded approach to therapy.

When I’m not doing therapy…

You’ll likely find me doing something that fills my cup:

  • Breaking a sweat at Boxing and Bubbles cardio kickboxing
  • Devouring a good book
  • Spending time on the water
  • Cheering on my kids (or catching them in the middle of backyard mischief)
  • Laughing with friends and family

These moments keep me energized, present, and balanced – qualities I bring into my work with every client I meet.
